Although Uber recently agreed to pay Waymo a $245 million settlement in a theft of trade secrets lawsuit, Google has filed a separate lawsuit against the engineer. The company claims that upon leaving to form Otto, the man breached his contract by attempting to recruit several other employees to join his ranks. However, the engineer denies these allegations, and he is reportedly preparing to defend against them during litigation.
